We made up time on the 401 towards Kingston and then blew it all by leaving the freeway early and taking the interesting route to Verona. The route has stone houses and barns, and lots of winding narrow roads, some with likely-looking turnings that don't actually go anywhere, but dump you back on the same road going in the opposite direction. "Look, there's another of those funny buildings." "Looks like the same one to me."
Eventually we stumbled onto a road that was actually on our map and found our way to Verona, and called the house for directions.

It was still sunny. I finished the printing and we repacked the camper. We had so much room now! We thanked Debbie for making us feel so welcome and declined an offer to stay longer. It was tempting but there was so much more that we still had to see before winter set in.
